Money,... it's a gas
So i got a ticket in downtown on thursday.. and this only further fuels my feeling that something shady is going down with the city and the state's stricter reinforcement of the laws. Not so coincidently, both daygo and the cali are broke with no signs of alleviating their budget woes anytime soon. Just the other day, California had a major crackdown on I-5. So even if you were going 66 ... they woulda pulled your ass over. One might have to wonder how many tickets will they issue out before we can get out of the hole. Maybe we can just take it outta ahhnuld's pocket.
maybe i'm just being bitter about a $40 parking ticket.

do you see what i see?
skepticism runs rampant through my mind. i blame it on public relations... it's a muthafucka. Not necessarily my relationships (that's another story all together)... but the big PR. I have enveloped myself with conspiracy theory and that mentality lately that everything looks like it has some kind of underlying meaning or intentions. want some examples, bastiches?
"fiddy" cent..
remember when him and game had beef a WEEK before 50's cd dropped ...and all of a sudden a few days prior to that... awww they kissed and made up...
dave chappelle...
i like doOd... i think he's funny. I just am curious to see if this whole "dave's been institutionalized" thing is a set up for the
Season 2 DVD... after all it does come out next week...
those aren't the other people whoring themselves for the sake of dolo... all you have to do is surf myspace to see who's pimpin their stuff. The main page alone has at least one band and one tv show or movie pimpin DVDs and CDs.
The question remains... is PR a good thing or a bad thing... but don't they say that ANY publicity is GOOD publicity?...

radio plays what they want you to hear, they tell me it's cool, I just don't believe it"
(the following is a bitch and moan... if vulgarity offends you...fuck off)
Fuckin 50 is everywhere...
I've been meaning to comment again about the sad sad state of san diego radio. Because every time i hear a song i don't like and try to go to the OTHER hip hop station... THEY ARE PLAYING THE SAME FUCKING SONG. yeah, it's a bitch...
the FIRST time, i was tripped out by the coincidence of it and kept on flipping back and forth between stations. I thought it was cool at the time.
the SECOND time...i thought doOd ..i should blog this.
the THRID through FIFTEENTH time it was like ARGGGGGGGGGHHHh... thank God i got a new radio finally and can listen to my CDs again.
but i will spill blood if i ever have to hear the following again... let alone on BOTH fuckin stations...
Akon- Mr. Lonely..
J-lo -... just about anything..
50 cent- see above...

it's the end of the road...
I have reached the bottom of my ladder of dough. All those remarks i made about being good with money, and blah, blah blah ... oops .. partied JUST a tad bit much. It's okay, i had fun with it. I've been asking that a lot lately. People would bitch and moan about something in the past or something... and i'd be like "did you have fun?"... or "did you learn something while doing it?" ... and for the most part i get a hesitant "yes" ...but whatever. Time for me to figure out how to get this dough!

it's my party, and i can...
get down if i want to...
so it's my b-day week. before never really used to advertise that fact, because i was stupid and thought that those that would give a front door would know... but this year, eff it, i'm gonna pull an ninjitzoe, call a birthday week!!! ...thanks to my main numero uno sista girl, she's been treatin me like a king this week. I know she's calling it payback for all the times in the past, but i don't see it like that at all... after all, all we're after is good company, great conversations, and better frienships. It helps to have good music, and good drink too... and we found just that the other day. Bar Dynamite has quenched multiple thirsts... most importantly my INSATIABLE thirst for hip hop. Even though there are dimes there, i'm not plannin on meeting my wife there. But anyway, i have to get my mind off girls ...it's my week, bitches...

freeeeee... as a bird
you are now reading the blog of a bum. for i am officially unemployed (maybe now you'll be seeing a lot of me). everyone has been asking what am i going to do now... and so i tell them "school"... which is true... i'm killing myself with how many units i'm going to take this semester.... but one of my best friends made a very interesting point to me the other day when she asked me that first question... she pointed out that, other than high school, there has never been a time where i was just going to school. it was always WORK then school... 5 years at that place is a damn sure long time... and i've made more than a handful of friends and have learned a lot of lessons... and i will still take those experiences with me... i just stayed there because i was comfortable and i was happy.. and i did well (some times better than others) but i just cared more for the people than the money... speaking of money... i know there sure is a money factor... but i've been learning to budget lately... (not as well as others) also i've got some vacation hours coming in.. and a healthy tax refund... after all that has been depleted... i'll have to resort to pimpin my wares online... after that is all said and done... then i'll just have to sell my body for *ahem* favors... applicants may feel free to e-mail me.

Yeah, boyyyeee!
i've been watchin MAAAD movies and TV shows lately... ferch gon break this ish down in no particular order..
SHAUN OF THE DEAD (A)
best romantic comedy with a touch of heart... oh yeah with zombies. probably one of the best artistic arguments FOR widescreen too.. i liked it so much i saw it twice in the span of a 24 hour period... soundtrack was pretty dope, and used perfectly in some parts (specifically the queen sized beatdown)... something for EVERYONE forrils... but then again, you have to not mind the accents... speaking of accents...
DANNY DECKCHAIR (C+)
in this little australian romantic comedy (are we developing a pattern?) some doOd flies off to a far away land, literally. kinda cute, mostly goofy... it tries, but at least they didn't try too hard. but then again can you really take a movie seriously where a doOd flies away in a deckchair tied to a buncha oversized balloons... funnier than most comedies out there right now...ie...
DODGEBALL (C-)
eh.. not as funny as zoolander. kinda sad that i compare most of ben stiller's movies to that one... with the exception of the ones that he directed, and a rare few like tennenbaums...speaking of wes anderson..
THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU (B-)
another reason why widescreen is a must... but aren't all of wes' movies like that...bill murrays movies have taken a very dry turn... some love it, some loathe it... i on the other hand..."lok et o lot" ala jim carrey (it's hard to do that with just typing and not saying it.)... i need to watch it again for a couple reasons ... i wasn't really ready to watch the movie i guess... also, with mr. anderson's movies there's a certain expectation, regardless of how much you try and not hold them so high... another thing was that i wasn't necessarily with the greatest of company.... somtimes that can ruin a movie for you... i just need to watch it again ....listen closely to the pirates...speaking of company....
IN GOOD COMPANY (C+)
i must have thought that the relationship between topher grace and scarlett jo-hot-ssen would have been primary... but it's actually dennis quaid and toph.., it's funny because you see all the sales people in that movie, and if you've ever been in any type of sales... you could see how they were lying through their teeth, sportin fake smiles, and all this other bullshit... i see the point they were making about corparate america, and that was cool...but other than that... s'alright.
now that the awards season is upon us... i think that i'm going to have a movie night (just about) every friday... with these early ones focusing on the nominees... then come oscar night... imma try and have a big pool... listings and details soon to come... if people wanna participate.. feel free to hit me up...

i can tell that we are gonna be friends...
so i've decided to write in this bad boy again. it's not necessarily on the account that i have nothing to say ... for there is always something. from the "holidays" to "having skills", "garden state" to "pushin weight"... there's always something.
b.t.w. ...happy new years, y'all
