freeeeee... as a bird
you are now reading the blog of a bum. for i am officially unemployed (maybe now you'll be seeing a lot of me). everyone has been asking what am i going to do now... and so i tell them "school"... which is true... i'm killing myself with how many units i'm going to take this semester.... but one of my best friends made a very interesting point to me the other day when she asked me that first question... she pointed out that, other than high school, there has never been a time where i was just going to school. it was always WORK then school... 5 years at that place is a damn sure long time... and i've made more than a handful of friends and have learned a lot of lessons... and i will still take those experiences with me... i just stayed there because i was comfortable and i was happy.. and i did well (some times better than others) but i just cared more for the people than the money... speaking of money... i know there sure is a money factor... but i've been learning to budget lately... (not as well as others) also i've got some vacation hours coming in.. and a healthy tax refund... after all that has been depleted... i'll have to resort to pimpin my wares online... after that is all said and done... then i'll just have to sell my body for *ahem* favors... applicants may feel free to e-mail me.

Yeah, boyyyeee!
i've been watchin MAAAD movies and TV shows lately... ferch gon break this ish down in no particular order..
SHAUN OF THE DEAD (A)
best romantic comedy with a touch of heart... oh yeah with zombies. probably one of the best artistic arguments FOR widescreen too.. i liked it so much i saw it twice in the span of a 24 hour period... soundtrack was pretty dope, and used perfectly in some parts (specifically the queen sized beatdown)... something for EVERYONE forrils... but then again, you have to not mind the accents... speaking of accents...
DANNY DECKCHAIR (C+)
in this little australian romantic comedy (are we developing a pattern?) some doOd flies off to a far away land, literally. kinda cute, mostly goofy... it tries, but at least they didn't try too hard. but then again can you really take a movie seriously where a doOd flies away in a deckchair tied to a buncha oversized balloons... funnier than most comedies out there right now...ie...
DODGEBALL (C-)
eh.. not as funny as zoolander. kinda sad that i compare most of ben stiller's movies to that one... with the exception of the ones that he directed, and a rare few like tennenbaums...speaking of wes anderson..
THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU (B-)
another reason why widescreen is a must... but aren't all of wes' movies like that...bill murrays movies have taken a very dry turn... some love it, some loathe it... i on the other hand..."lok et o lot" ala jim carrey (it's hard to do that with just typing and not saying it.)... i need to watch it again for a couple reasons ... i wasn't really ready to watch the movie i guess... also, with mr. anderson's movies there's a certain expectation, regardless of how much you try and not hold them so high... another thing was that i wasn't necessarily with the greatest of company.... somtimes that can ruin a movie for you... i just need to watch it again ....listen closely to the pirates...speaking of company....
IN GOOD COMPANY (C+)
i must have thought that the relationship between topher grace and scarlett jo-hot-ssen would have been primary... but it's actually dennis quaid and toph.., it's funny because you see all the sales people in that movie, and if you've ever been in any type of sales... you could see how they were lying through their teeth, sportin fake smiles, and all this other bullshit... i see the point they were making about corparate america, and that was cool...but other than that... s'alright.
now that the awards season is upon us... i think that i'm going to have a movie night (just about) every friday... with these early ones focusing on the nominees... then come oscar night... imma try and have a big pool... listings and details soon to come... if people wanna participate.. feel free to hit me up...

i can tell that we are gonna be friends...
so i've decided to write in this bad boy again. it's not necessarily on the account that i have nothing to say ... for there is always something. from the "holidays" to "having skills", "garden state" to "pushin weight"... there's always something.
b.t.w. ...happy new years, y'all
